Abstract: Professional farmers become the indispensable human resource in modern agriculture development. This paper analyses the background of professional farmers cultivation and defines the connotation of modern farmers. It also divides modern professional farmers into different types and proposes several policy suggestions for the cultivation of professional farmers.
